43 artifacts recovered from the debris field surrounding the Titanic will be on display from the Spring
In partnership with RMS TITANIC, INC, this spring La Cité de la Mer will present a new selection, from the collections conserved in Atlanta, USA, of artifacts that were being carried on board the most famous of ocean steamships.
The selection of equipment from the ship together with personal belongings will once again serve to illustrate life on board the Titanic and tell the stories of some of the passengers, the owners of various items including, a box of a little toy aeroplane, a clarinet and a golden purse.
The Cité de la Mer team are continuing their research about the owners of these artifacts, some of whom embarked at Cherbourg on 10 April 1912, and this work is adding to the data held by the American company with whom La Cité de le Mer concluded a partnership agreement in December 2022.
